About the Appraisal Institute Education Trust
The Appraisal Institute Education Trust is at a defining moment in its 55-year history. Founded exclusively for charitable, literary, educational and scientific purposes, the Trust is currently seeking to expand its level of philanthropic funding. While growth in the AIET balance sheet historically has come primarily through large, unsolicited estate gifts, the Trust is now undertaking a Transforming Our Future initiative to advance its mission and channel additional philanthropic resources toward areas of urgent professional importance. While celebrating the rich tradition and heritage of the real estate appraisal profession, this initiative seizes the opportunity to secure the professions future.
The AIET welcomes voluntary contributions from individual members, chapters and regions of the Appraisal Institute as well as from a members business associates, corporations and other institutions. Contributions may be made on a regular or, annual basis, in recognition of an event-- e.g., a chapter anniversary, as an In Memoriam gift as well as through specific bequests. All donations are acknowledged with a letter to the donor; a special card is sent to thank families for Gifts in Memoriam. Contributions may be tax-deductible under Section 170(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended by virtue of Section 170(c)(2).
If you are able, please consider making the AIET a priority in your charitable giving this year and give something back to your profession in a positive and meaningful way.
