Randy Bell is the CEO of Bell Anderson & Sanders LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in real estate and environmental damages. As a world-renowned expert, Mr. Bell has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, China, Micronesia and South America in his research of the impact they have on real estate values. Founded upon this research, he wrote various specialized methodologies, which were the basis for the Detrimental Conditions Seminar, published by the Appraisal Institute.
Mr. Bell is the author of two books, including Real Estate Damages, published by the Appraisal Institute, as well as numerous articles that are published in various professional journals. He has lectured internationally on the topic of property damages and mitigation strategies, and has qualified as a court expert witness on numerous occasions.
Mr. Bell has consulted in several high-profile situations. These include the Laguna Niguel landslides, the Nicole Brown Simpson condominium, the Avila Beach oil spill, The Jon Benet Ramsey house in Boulder, Colorado, the Durham Woods pipeline explosion, the Heaven’s Gate Mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, the Malibu floods and firestorms, the Northridge Earthquake, the Hollywood Boulevard sinkhole and many others. He was selected by the Nuclear Claims Tribunal to determine the damages caused by the testing of nuclear weapons on the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands, which is the largest real estate damage issue in world history.
Often quoted in the national and international media, Mr. Bell’s career has been profiled on many occasions, including in the Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, People Magazine, Today’s Realtor, the Chicago Tribune, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, all major television networks and CNN. Additionally, his career has been profiled in the media in Europe, Asia and Australia.
Mr. Bell has a MBA Degree from UCLA, and a BS Degree in Finance and Accounting from BYU. He is a native of Southern California, where he resides with his wife Melanie and three children, Michael, Steven and Britten.
