ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Don M. Emerson Jr., MAI, SRA, has been involved in appraisal practice for more than 30 years and is president of Emerson Appraisal Company Inc. in Gainesville, Florida. He received his BSBA and MA in real estate and urban land studies from the University of Florida. He has been involved in advanced appraisal instruction for the Appraisal Institute since 1986. He is past president of the former Gainesville-Ocala Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and has served on many Appraisal Institute education and publication committees over the years. He is also the author of the Appraisal Institute’s Subdivision Valuation seminar.
