    AI PAREA Mentor

    Job Title: AI PAREA Mentor

    Location: Remote

    Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

    Pay: $57.22 an hour, 37.5 hours a week for 12 weeks.

    Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced AI PAREA Mentor to provide guidance, support, and mentorship to participants in the AI PAREA program for Licensed Residential (LR) and Certified Residential (CR) appraisals. As a mentor, you will work closely with our Mentor Team to maintain consistency in communications and ensure participants successfully complete the program. You will offer constructive feedback and evaluations on simulated appraisal assignments and final projects, helping participants build the confidence to apply their appraisal skills in real-world situations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mentor and provide feedback to participants on 10-20 simulated appraisal assignments, including guidance on 3-6 final projects.
    • Engage with participants through asynchronous platforms (email, discussion boards) and synchronous tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, phone).
    • Work collaboratively with the PAREA team and other stakeholders to ensure the effective guidance of participants throughout the program.
    • Track participant progress, monitor support hours, and report any issues to senior managers and the coordinator.
    • Assist participants in improving their problem-solving abilities and confidence in applying acquired skills.
    • Complete orientation and ongoing training as required by AI PAREA.
    • Develop and update practice assignments and knowledge resources in various formats (Excel, Microsoft Word, PDFs, or video) for participants, mentors, and software vendors.
    • Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism as a representative of the Appraisal Institute.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Designated Appraisal Institute professional (SRA or MAI) in good standing.
    • State-certified appraiser with at least three years of experience in good standing, with no disciplinary action affecting your ability to practice appraisal or serve as a Supervisory Appraiser.
    • At least five (5) years of appraisal experience, including work with various residential property types (e.g., single-unit homes, 2–4-unit properties, condominiums, vacant land), with relevant experience within the last 12-24 months.
    • Proficient in technology-based communication tools, including email, phone, Canvas (AI’s learning management system), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
    • Skilled in using appraisal software, Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat PDF, MLS, SharePoint, GIS, measuring/sketch tools, and data services.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines in a highly regulated, competitive environment.
    • Solid understanding of residential real estate appraisal methodologies.
    • Demonstrates a supportive, service-oriented, patient approach with participants.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must have access to a remote office environment with video capabilities of at least 8mbps internet speed.
