    Seminar Description:  Corridors represent a unique real property type that requires specialized experience and education in their appraisal and valuation, including consideration of the type and use of the corridor, and application of the appropriate appraisal methodology.  This seminar will provide a baseline education for appraisers on what constitutes a corridor, and how to approach the valuation of corridors.


    Seminar Learning Objectives

    • Understand The Unique Characteristics of A Corridor
    • Understand the Limitations of Corridor Valuation
    • Be Able to Identify A Corridor, and the Different Types of Corridors – Corridor Characteristics
    • Understand The Function, Use/Purpose of A Corridor
    • Understand the Various Methodologies Available in Valuing A Corridor
    • Understand When To Use Which Methodology in Valuing A Corridor
    • Properly Apply Appraisal Methodology in Valuing A Corridor or a Portion of A Corridor
    • Emphasis on and an Understanding of the Across The Fence (ATF) Methodology
    • Understand an ATF Ratio or Enhancement Factor
    • Understand the Application of the Corridor Valuation Method, and How to Apply The ATF Ratio or Enhancement Factor
    • Review and understand which unit price or value basis is pertinent and applicable
    • Through the use of case studies and examples, gain a better understanding of the methodology

    Please note:  This class will be held by live stream /synchronous interactive classroom technology via Zoom.  Students are required to have a computer, webcam and microphone.  It is the student’s responsibility to have the required equipment to participate and receive continuing education credit.


    Live stream/Synchronous Classroom Guidelines:

    • Students must have a computer, webcam and microphone capabilities to participate and receive continuing education credit.
    • The instructor must be able to physically see and interact with all students and students must be able to interact with the instructor.
    • A copy of your driver’s license must be emailed to the Chapter Office as verification after you have registered and prior to the start date.
    • You will receive a separate email from the chapter office with log-in access information.  Please contact the chapter office if you have any questions regarding the participation guidelines.
    • Class materials will be emailed to you prior to the class.
