Event Information
This is a mandatory Continuing Education course required for real estate appraisers renewing their New York State Appraiser Certification or License, effective 1/01/2022. Required as part of CE requirement of 28 hours every two years.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: If your NYS Appraiser’s License expires on or before 12/31/25, taking this 4-hour course will fulfill the Fair Housing requirement, noted above, for your current 2- year cycle. However, if your license will expire in 2026, it is suggested that you wait until 2026 to take this class, as requirements from The Appraisal Foundation are set to change as of 1/1/2026. Please plan to take the 7-hour 2026 version with the latest updates and modifications to satisfy your requirements.

This class will be co-sponsored by the Long Island and MetroNY Chapters of the Appraisal Institute.
ZOOM Participation Guidelines: Students will be required to download Zoom to a laptop, handheld device or phone that has a camera feature, so that the instructor can see and interact with the student for the duration of the program. The platform will be live and interactive.
Students will be required to provide a copy of their photo identification, i.e. driver’s license, to the Chapter office no later than 4:00 pm on December 10, 2025 via email.
Only those students who provide the photo identification and “attend” the program in its entirety will receive a certificate of completion.
