    This classroom course is approved for GBCI CE Hours by the USGBC.

    You will be asked to clear the calculator’s memory before and after the examination. Only one calculator is permitted in the testing room. Examinees taking most AI exams may bring their own calculator to use during the exam. Laptops, cellular phones, tablets, iPads, wearable technology (smart watch, Apple Watch, Google Glass, etc.), and other devices that can store data or connect to the Internet are NOT permitted during the exam. In addition, all watches, wallets, bags, and purses must be removed and stored out of reach prior to taking the exam.

    Class Registration: April 4th, 2024 at 8:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M.. (Lunch not included with seminar fee).

    Class Sessions: Sept 9, 2024, at 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. (Lunch Time) 1.00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Test will be given at the end of the class (optional).

    Continue Education - Classroom Credit:

    Classroom: Seven (7) hours of continuing education credits have been APPROVED for: Iowa and Illinois appraisers: seven (7) hours of continuing education credits have been APPROVED. 1 additional hour will be given if you take the exam. 

    Attendance: The Appraisal Institute enforces attendance requirements mandated by State licensing and certification regulatory agencies. The Iowa Chapter enforces the attendance requirements as mandated by the State of Iowa and the AQB. There is a 100% attendance policy. Don't be late or leave early.

    This course introduces you to valuation methods for appraising the high-performance house. You’ll learn the appraisal procedures for valuing green residential properties to assist in supporting an opinion of value. The course focuses on the valuation process in different appraisal problems encountered in appraising green properties. The valuation process is examined as it applies in each of the three approaches to value. In-depth case studies help you develop your problem-solving skills in this new building technology.
